Dig Haunted Items How to Complete the Relic Index

Log every name once. The 100% badge is rare because people sell the boring Commons.

Complete the Index

The Index is Dig Haunted Items’ long game. Index 50% Complete! fires when you have logged half the relics. Completed Index! fires when you have every name. Badge stats tell the story: tens of thousands at 50%, only a few dozen at 100%. The forest is not that cruel. Players are. They sell unlogged Commons, they auto-sell from a script, and they never walk past spawn dirt.

This guide is collection discipline. Use the Index checklist as the live tracker while you run the forest loop from Getting Started.

What counts

A relic counts when it is identified as a new name on your account. Dirty vs clean should not matter for the first log, but clean it anyway so you can read curse tags. Duplicates do not help the bar. Haunted upgrades of a name you already own usually do not add a second tick. When in doubt, keep the first copy of anything you have not seen.

Forbidden is not the whole Index. Official copy says 50+ relics from Common to Forbidden. The missing names at 90% are almost always ugly Commons and Uncommons, not the golem on the thumbnail.

50% strategy

  1. Pick up everything for the first several hours.
  2. Never sell-all. Filter with the checklist.
  3. Walk new dirt after each update. New tiles hide new names.
  4. Upgrade the shovel so Rare and Epic appear, but do not skip spawn dirt until Commons are done. Spawn dirt is a Common factory.
  5. Claim daily rewards so you can afford bag space and stands for first copies.

Fifty percent is a volume problem. You get there by not deleting names.

100% strategy

After 50%, stop picking up logged Commons unless you need sell gold. Target:

  • Deep forest sparkles for Forbidden and unique models. See how to dig.
  • Any biome or dirt color you have ignored.
  • High-luck sessions: S shovel plus 2x Luck from gamepasses plus a luck code if one is Active. Forbidden hunting has its own page: how to get Forbidden relics.
  • A hold policy: if you cannot identify it, it stays until you can.

Haunt only duplicates. A table roll on your last unknown model is how 99% runs die. Read the Haunting Table page twice if you are tempted.

Auto-sell is the enemy

If you use a hub with auto-sell, set the floor above every unlogged rarity or, better, turn it off. The script safety page exists because the account with Completed Index is the account you should never inject. Forty-seven people still have the badge as of 7 September 2026. Do not donate your run to a sell-all toggle.

Museum vs Index

You can display a first copy and still log it. You should. Front-row unique models also pay rent while you hunt the last names. The museum guide tells you not to fill every stand with junk — except the one ugly Common you still need. That one ugly Common gets a side stand until the bar ticks, then it can go to the bin.

Social

Friends on a six-player server can tell you the name of a sparkle. They cannot log it for you. If they pick it up, it is theirs. Call dibs before the swing or walk to a quieter tile. Online co-op is a scouting tool, not a shared Index.

Mindset

Completed Index is a completionist badge, not a power spike. The Prismatic-style flex is owning the list. If that is not fun, stop at 50% and play the tycoon. If it is fun, treat every unlogged Common as S-tier for ten seconds. That single habit is the whole guide.

Keep the relic tier list open so you still know what to haunt for gold while the bar crawls. Collection and income can coexist. Selling the last mouse cannot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How rare is Completed Index?

Extremely. Only dozens of players have the badge versus tens of thousands at 50%. The gap is sold Commons, not impossible Forbidden.

Do duplicates fill the Index?

No. First copy of each name counts. Track them on the Index checklist.

Should I haunt unknown relics?

No. Log first. Haunt duplicates via the Haunting Table.

Can a script finish the Index?

Claims that it can are a red flag. Auto-sell is how runs die. See scripts.
