Dig Haunted Items How to Dig Haunted Relics
Find dirt, swing the shovel, and stop farming the soil next to spawn.
Digging is the only way relics enter Dig Haunted Items. There is no gacha banner and no raid boss chest. You walk the haunted forest, find a dirt pile or sparkle, swing the shovel, and hope the roll is not another duplicate Common. This guide is the forest half of the loop. Cleaning is a different verb on how to clean.
If you have not finished the tutorial cycle, do that first in Getting Started. Shop luck does not apply until the shovel is actually in your hands.
The swing
- Equip a shovel. The tutorial blade works; a paid blade from the shovel tier list works better.
- Stand on disturbed soil, a mound, or a sparkle. The prompt appears when you are close enough.
- Press the dig input (click, tap, or the console confirm button). See controls if the prompt is missing.
- Let the swing finish. Canceling early often wastes the node.
- Pick up the relic. If you walk away, the next player in the six-person server will take it.
You are not mining a health bar. One successful swing produces one relic. The official Auto-Dig gamepass (249 Robux) skips tapping without an executor — see gamepasses. Instant-dig scripts try to skip the animation and are the first thing a patch breaks. Auto-Dig on spawn dirt is still a Common factory. Walk deeper, even when the pass is swinging for you.
Where to walk
Spawn dirt is a tutorial. It is close, safe, and Common-heavy. After First Haunted Item, push into the fog:
- Follow dead trees and darker ground rather than the well-lit path back to the plot.
- Chase brighter or greener sparkles. They are not a guarantee of Forbidden, but they beat brown mounds.
- Leave when the backpack is full. A full bag means you are dropping S-tier on the ground for someone else.
Online co-op helps when a friend calls a sparkle. It also means four other people want that pile. If a node is crowded, walk twenty steps. The forest is larger than the tutorial implies.
Luck is a shovel stat
Luck is not a food buff you cook. It comes from:
- Better shovels (S-tier luck blades).
- The official 2x Luck gamepass (199 Robux) if you are hunting Forbidden.
- Short shop codes when they exist.
- Maybe weather or server events if JSK Games wires them later. Do not wait for a blood moon that belongs to a different digging game.
During a luck timer, do not spray, do not haunt, do not rearrange coffins. Dig. Haunt after the timer using the Haunting Table.
What to pick up
Everything, until the Index says otherwise. Unlogged Commons are mandatory. Logged Commons can stay on the ground if your bag is full of cursed keepers. Use the Index checklist as the filter, not vibes. Relic quality after pickup is ranked on the relic tier list.
Dirty vs clean does not matter in the forest. Everything comes out muddy. You will spray at home.
Common digging mistakes
- Swinging the tutorial shovel for an hour because Shop felt expensive. One upgrade pays itself.
- Digging while the bag is full and wondering where the Forbidden went.
- Standing in another player’s animation. You will steal or get stolen from.
- Running auto dig on the main that holds Day 7 and Index 50%.
- Selling from the forest HUD without looking at curse tags. Read curse and rarity first.
A simple circuit
- Claim daily rewards on the plot.
- Equip the best shovel you own.
- Walk a loop that starts past spawn dirt and returns when 70% full.
- Clean keepers, haunt high curse, sell logged junk.
- Spend gold on the next shovel breakpoint, then go again.
That circuit is the whole midgame. The museum multiplies it. The forest still has to feed it.
When a patch adds a new biome (the client last moved September 3, 2026), start the circuit on the new dirt for a day. New tiles often hold the Index names you still lack. Then come back to this page if the swing prompt changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why do I only find Commons?
You are probably digging spawn dirt with the tutorial shovel. Walk deeper and upgrade using the shovel tier list.
Can friends share a dig?
The relic goes to whoever picks it up. Online co-op helps spot sparkles; it does not split the drop.
Should I dig during a luck code?
Yes. Do not spend the timer at the Haunting Table. Redeem via how to redeem.
Where do I clean what I dug?
On your plot with a sprayer. Follow how to clean.
