Dig Haunted Items Shovel, Relic, and Curse Tiers
S-rank the upgrades that raise Forbidden odds and museum rent.
A Dig Haunted Items tier list is not a PvP ranking. There is no arena. The only combat is you versus mud, dark magic, and a gold sink that wants another gravestone decoration. We rank three things that actually move the run: shovels, relics, and the curse-plus-rarity mix that decides whether a find belongs on the Haunting Table or in the sell bin.
Use this hub as the map. Detailed boards live on shovels, relics, and curse and rarity. Pair them with the upgrade planner so you do not buy a mid-tier bottle when the next shovel breakpoint is 200 gold away.
How we rank
- S — Buy or keep as soon as you can. Changes gold per hour or Index speed.
- A — Strong once the slot exists (empty museum stand, spare curse roll).
- B — Fine for the current hour, replace on the next upgrade.
- C — Fills the Index, then sell or park on a back wall.
- D — Clutter. Clean it only if you need the Index tick.
Criteria are gold per minute, Index uniqueness, visitor appeal on the museum path, and how well the item survives a Haunting Table roll. We do not rank cosmetics that never leave the plot.
Shovels in one paragraph
Starter shovels exist to teach the swing. They are D-tier the moment you can afford the first paid blade. Mid shovels are B until they unlock faster swings or better luck. Late shovels that raise Forbidden chance are S because the forest is the only place those relics spawn. Sprayers are not shovels; they get their own notes on the shovel page because a fast bottle is the pair that makes a lucky dig worth anything. Full board: shovel tier list.
Relics in one paragraph
Official copy promises 50+ relics from Common trinkets to Forbidden treasures. Commons are C or D after you log them. Rare and Epic keepers are A if they look unique on a stand. Forbidden is S for both Index and rent. Dirty versions of any rarity are not a separate tier — they are a chore. Spray them using how to clean before you judge the piece. Full board: relic tier list.
Curse is a second axis
Rarity is not curse. A Common with a high curse tag can out-earn a clean Rare after you run it through the Haunting Table. That is why curse and rarity is its own page. High curse plus high rarity is S. High curse plus Common is A as a table candidate and D as a raw sell. Low curse Forbidden is still S because the Index needs the name.
First-hour shopping list
- Claim daily rewards and any Active code.
- Buy the first shovel that leaves D-tier.
- Buy sprayer speed so cleaning a muddy golem does not eat the session.
- Ignore extra plot fences until the museum has three paying stands. See getting started.
- Haunt the first high-curse keeper instead of selling it for snack gold.
What this list will not do
We will not invent named blades JSK Games has not published in a public patch note. The live client uses shop entries that change as the tycoon updates (last client bump September 3, 2026). When a shovel name is stable, it will appear on the shovel board with a gold cost. Until then we rank upgrade stages so the advice survives a Shop rename.
Online co-op does not change tiers. A friend can point at a sparkle; they cannot raise your shovel luck. Six players in one forest just means more competition for the same dirt.
If you only open one sub-page, open relics on day one and shovels as soon as you have 1,000 gold. Come back to curse ranking when the Haunting Table badge pops.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is this a PvP tier list?
No. Dig Haunted Items is a museum tycoon. We rank shovels, relics, and curse value, not fighters.
Should I sell all Commons?
Only after they are logged. Check the Index checklist first.
What is S-tier on day one?
The first paid shovel, sprayer speed, and any high-curse keeper you can haunt. See shovels.
Do codes change the list?
Luck codes raise drop quality for a timer. They do not replace a better shovel.
